Um... alright...

-----------------------

"You don't have to look far".

Not more than about 50 feet from Kered's distinguished location a man proudly stood in the midst of the field, weary wrought, but ripe with a determined face. He stood tall, the weathered and worn cloak hung loosely off of his toned upper body. Piercing white eyes gazed down along the field back and Kered, who seemed to be occupied with his blade swinging.

This man gave a wry smile, "You seem a bit anxious to find someone to spar with, I wouldn't mind a little warm up myself. I'm Gabriel." he nodded.

Kered turned sharply to face the newcomer seeming to have forgotten about the blade which he had just tossed recklessly into the air. He began to move toward Gabriel as his blade flashed down toward his neck. With a deft movement he caught and sheathed the strange blade. He stepped within a few feet of Gabriel and offered a hand. "I am Kered Rekcur." He said. The intensity gone but the mania still remained. "I expect you to try and kill me in this dual for I never seem to stay dead long." There was a strange glint to his eyes. "It's the only way your going to win." He prepared for a strike and his opponents move wondering what he would do.

Sorry for the delay. Been busy looking for a place to stay.

OOC: Just to let you know Gabriel does wield a couple of blades along the back of his waist, one that's particularly dull and another that is dangerously sharp.

---------------------

Gabriel's eyes cast down upon the offered hand. "I apologize, but I cannot accept that handshake with out hurting you." he rose his gaze and chuckled gleefully, "I hope you are not offended. But the name I can accept, Sir Rekcur, an awkward name, but I'm not familiar with this country side." Gabriel rose a brow when Kered spoke of killing him in order to win.

"Well then, it seems this is less of a spar than I had at first thought, but if it's blood you want, it's blood you'll get." he nodded in return, accepting the terms of battle, as unusual as they were. As soon as he finished his sentence his well tuned instinct kicked in, warning him of a preordained strike. Gabriel took a step back, narrowly dodging as the tang of his opponent's blade sang just passed his chin. Gabriel put distance between Kered and him. He rubbed the stub at the center of his jaw line, "Pretty anxious to give me a shave?" he chuckled before he began to remove his weathered cloak...

I don't remember swinging at you but... whatever.

------------------------------------------------------

Kered chuckled, " You had some hairs that were bugging me there." He sheathed his sword. "I'm quite serious about you killing me and about never staying dead long." He opened his shirt to show a pattern of scars running across his chest then fastened the shirt again. "When I was little my soul was bound to that of a Phoenix. As a result I burn up upon death then rise from the spot within a few days." Kered bent his head to one side then the other. A loud cracking noise emanated from his neck. "So. Have no reservations or hesitation on finishing me off."

He waited until Gabriel's cloak hit the ground and listened to anything he may have had to say.

"Not to fond of killing, but if it's what it takes to win then so be it." Gabriel flexed his muscles as his cloak fell to the ground. He rolled his shoulders and opened his palms and tucked in his thumbs. Bringing his arms forward in a fighter stance. The gauntlets glimmered slightly. They were silverish and brown, seemed low quality, as if self-made...

"I have no special abilities or powers, but that doesn't mean I can't be a worthy match..."

With that, Gabriel spurred forward, the dust quaking behind him as he ran toward his opponent, bringing up his right armed guantlet and hurling it toward Kered's face with explosive force. He continued, sending a flurry of jabs and kicks for key points, the torso, head, and thighs. He finally finished with a fairly direct roundhouse kicked, packed with over 1,000 lbs. of force.

Kered smiled as Gabriel ran forward. Twisting to the side he dodged the punch and knocked the gauntlet aside. Kered proceeded to block and dodge the onslaught. Arm up, block the head. Shin up and to the side, block a kick. Twist this way, dodge a body shot. Kered saw the roundhouse and brought both of his arms up to block bracing his entire body. It connected and there was an odd cracking sound like breaking bone. Kered was pushed back several feet by the force and skidded to a stop on his feet.

His right arm dropped seemingly uselessly. There appeared a small split in his skin and something white like bone pushed it's way to the surface and fell to the dirt. Several chunks of the bone like material fell from his arm and the split sealed it's self back up. "Congratulations. You are one of the first to break my under-skin armor." He shook his hand as if to get the feeling back. "My turn."

Kered sprang forward closing the gap between them with surprising speed sending his left fist to greet Gabriel's face. As the fist closed in he brought a knee up to Gabriel's stomach then followed it up with a flashing right hook. He allowed the momentum from the hook to spin him launching his left elbow at Gabriel's head. Before connection he twisted his arm attempting to put his hand on Gabriel's shoulder. Regardless he pushed off swinging around and above Gabriel driving his elbow down towards the spine and neck of his opponent.....

Gabriel's jaw buckled as Kered's left haymaker connected. His entire head exploded with a ringing noise as he stumbled backward, only to fall wayward in the opposite direction as Kered's knee lodged into his gut, he lost his air, but found the energy to block the right hook, only to take a heavy blow to the back of his head with the jagged end of Kered's elbow. Gabriel nearly fell, using his right hand to maintain footing as he tried to regain his balance, his left hand preoccupied with holding his gut while he staggered for oxygen.

Out of the corner of his eye he could see Kered raising his elbow up for the climactic blow to end his combination of attacks. He quickly turned his stumbling into a roll, narrowly dodging the lethal finish. He slid to his feet. Once again, a fair distance from his opponent.

Gabriel caught his breath, meanwhile he relocated his jaw line before speaking.

"Clearly I've underestimated you a great deal, I didn't really think you were that serious about fighting to the death..." He took a deep breath, and exhaled allowing his body and mind to push away the exasperating pain that seemed to pulsate from his sternum and jaw. "Okay then, I won't hold back..."

Gabriel closed in again he threw out his right foot which suddenly dropped as a heavy right fist looked for a home at Kered's chest plate, he withdrawed spun and sent one of his own elbows flurrying forward, but it purposely missed as a foot aimed to catch him square in the kidney's, Gabriel swiftly let it drop to the floor before a grab could be initiated, and threw a solid evenly placed uppercut to make a mark at his oppnenent's lower jaw. He initiated a grab (if landed: that sent Kered into the air and onto the flat of his back). And Kered set distance once more allowing time for his opponent to recover.

I have no excuse for not posting. I am sorry. I will begin checking daily or tri-weekly again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kered made to block the the foot only to find a fist in his chest. He slid back slightly but was relatively unfazed. It was like striking a concrete wall. Kered moved to avoid the elbow and ended up putting himself into the kidney shot. His armor was thick here but just the pressure was enough to send impact into his kidneys and stun him momentarily. The uppercut hammered into Kereds jaw as he crumpled from the previous blow. It picked him up and sent him hurling through the air landing heavily on his back.

Kered laid there for a minute before he began to laugh. It was an odd laugh as it was done through a blood filled mouth. He slowly stood up and spat the blood from his mouth. "I do not want to kill you per say...." the sentence came unformed as his jaw was broke. Kered held up a finger. He grabbed his jaw with both hands and began to wrench it back in place none too gently. "I believe that to do something it should be done to the fullest and without hesitation." He spat more blood onto the ground which seemed to burst into flame. Kered passed his index and middle finger around his jaw. "Better. no longer broken." His fingers then burst into flame and he pushed them into the large cut on his chin and passed them up along the split to his lip. It cauterized the wound and stopped the blood from flowing. He made an elaborate flourish as if he had a gun and blew out his fingers. He worked his jaw again to make sure it was all in place before speaking again. "Besides I knew it wouldn't be so easy to kill you."

---------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: On second thought that seems like a pretty good place to end it for now. continue captain spanky.

Gabriel studied his opponent. Noticing how flames seemed to conjure forth from the tips of his fingers within an instant. He was unaware as to how, but he figured there was more to this person then brute strength. He perhaps would need to step things up a notch.

"Okay then, I will fulfill your wish. No more hesitations... no more playing around," Gabriel reached for his waist and preceded to draw forth a short, thin, and most of all, blunt blade. It shined under the glimmering sun, a weapon that did not drink the blood of its enemies, but rather, leave them with scars to remember. "This weapon was crafted by my ancestors, a weapon to instill victory without the ultimatum of death. However, I'm sure with enough of a pummeling you'll see how close it will take you to it's doorstep."

Gabriel dashed forward with his blade level, he lept into the air and flipped, bringing the wrath of his weapon hammering downward onto Kered's position. The ground blossomed in an array of stone slab and dust as the weapon made contact with the barren Earth. Gabriel dashed away until he was outside the smog, keeping his eyes fixated on the position from where Kered last stood until the dust cleared away...

Kered smiled. "Good then it will be as it should." He quickly studied the strange blunt weapon. Gabriel dashed forward and lept into the air. Kered grabbed the edge of his cloak with his left hand and whipped it above his head crouching down near the earth. His right had obscured by the cloak touched the earth and formed a simple dagger. Gabriel's weapon impacted the cloak just above Kered's head. Something strange happened. The entire cloak stiffened stopping the blow completely and driving Kered as well as the area around him into the ground. This strange material then softened to a normal cloak once the blow had dissipated. Kered's hand snaked out holding the dagger aimed at Gabriel's chest but Gabriel had already begun moving back so it only tore at his shirt.

Kered dropped the dagger and it crumbled back into the earth. He reached across and grabbed his falchion. He yanked it out strait across his body so it pointed to the sky. There was a great blast of air that instantly blew all the dust away. "You will have to try better than that." He said. Kered took a step and launched himself forward seemingly effortlessly. He brought his blade down hard exceptionally so because of the sword type. The blade met the earth scoring a deep line. He reversed the blade and brought it back up across Gabriel. Then down vertically. Once again the blade buried it's self into the earth creating a crack that extended several feet past the blade with a gust of wind.

Gabriel was momentarily dumbfounded that Kered's cloak would be the very thing to halt his attack, he surveyed his torn cloak... so swiftly had his opponent through the cloak above that he pulled a weapon out of the very Earth, if he was any slower, he'd be bleeding a mortal wound.

He steadied his thought's and brought focus and calm back into his mind with a deep breath, hearing Kered speak of his effortless attempt.

His opponent sped forward, he was fast! Gabriel could only leap back. Dust flew up as Kered landed, the blade barely missing Gabriel as his arms flew over his face to protect him from the shards of dirt and rock that flew out of the ground. Gabriel instinctively swerved under the horizontal slash that ensued quickly after, and he rolled out of the way just as another stupendous vertical slash touched down upon the Earth. Dust blazed past him, but he managed to spin out of his roll his blade glimmering as it lashed out in an attempt to punch hard into Kered's backside, he regained his footing and held his blade steadily in front of him taking a few steps back to allow time for both to recover.

"I'm afraid the fun is only just beginning." Gabriel returned a reply as the powerful quake of Kered's attacks slowly faded away.

The back stab struck the cloak and it stiffened again deflecting the blow. Gabriel stepped back to get time to recover. "It's very good at defense but hardly sporting for this." Kered said as he reached up and undid the fasten on the cloak before whipping it off with a flourish and throwing it to the side. It fell before seeming to catch on something and hang just above the ground. "Ah... That thing may not look it but it weighs a ton." He stuck his sword into the ground and pulled a flask from his side which he opened and took a long drought before capping it and tossing it to Gabriel leaving his hand pointed up with his hand in a semi blade shape. "It's water. Have some before we continue." Droplets of water seemed to appear then condense into a perfect sphere which wobbled slightly just above his fingers. "I can always get more." He let the sphere hover and roll about him for a bit waiting for Gabriel's reaction.

"He seems to control the elements..." Gabriel noticed as he studied his opponent. He took a small swig from the water container he had tossed to him and threw it back. "I would've found a way around that unusual cloak of yours, all the same, this seems much more suiting...

Gabriel himself unbuttoned his shirt and let it fall to his sides, revealing the uncountable scars that streamlined the surface of his torso and arms, which crisscrossed a decent amount of ritualistic tattoos which seemed to hold some untold story of his life. He took up his blade once more, holding it steady at his side. He didn't quite know why a man such as he would offer him a drink when they were fighting to the death any way, but he wasn't about to question the way this man thinks. He was merely here for a spar, as twisted away from the word as the following had become.

"Thanks for the drink... I suppose," Gabriel said, "But I'm not going to let my guard down because of your sympathy..."

He steadily awaited Kered's reaction...

"Sympathy? Is that what you think that was?" (it really was just water. he's a little too noble to do something dirty there.) Kered belted the canteen and unfastened and dropped his shirt as well revealing his own criss-crossing scars that seemed to make ritualistic patterns. "No. That wasn't it." The water globe dropped. "I told you this will be no fun if it ends too soon." He held his sword up in a ready stance. Without his shirt one could see that the bracer's seemed to be fused to his arms.

"Now... Let's continue."

He rushed forward with a burst of wind blade level held in a thrusting blow stopping just past Gabriel he flipped the blade to it's side and rotated it around in a side arc. He then pulled it back slightly and stepped to the side thrusting it out again. while the move seemed a little odd and off balance because it was a slashing blade it was none the less a masterful strike. He pulled back again and slashed twice in an X shaped pattern leaving grouts of dust and earth where his blade connected.

Gabriel took up his tattered old blade, parrying off blows as best as he could. His opponent's blade danced around him insanely and Gabriel found it difficult to keep up with blow after blow. His sharp eye spotted an incoming slice, but he couldn't get his blade to react in kind to block the attack...

Instead he whipped his hand around and caught it just before it spliced up his right kidney. He held the blade firmly, The sharp end of it not seeming to affect him in anyway.

"Now you know why I declined your handshake..." Gabriel grinned, revealing the jagged claws that stuck out of his palm, holding his blade which was wedged firmly between them. He was wearing shukos, which had been cleverly modified for sword catching.

Gabriel flipped the handle of his blade and thrust his sword at his opponent's chest, before letting back and releasing his opponent's blade. Gabriel steadied his weapon at his side, allowing the dust to clear once more before Gabriel dashed forward again. His blade rounded him, and flashed for Kered, He brought the blade up to his face, allowing the light from the sun to mirror of the side in an attempt to blind his opponent before he swung horizontally, his attack level with Kered's torso.

Kered flashed a smile as his blade was caught. Gabriel's odd blunt blade came thrusting at Kered's chest. He twisted in place giving his sword a yank but not quite fast enough. The edge caught his bare chest and scored a cut along the left side. His sword came free when Gabriel stepped away. Gabriel dashed forward Kered brought up his sword with the flat facing out deflecting the first blow. Then the light hit him square in the eyes and blinded him. He screwed his eyes shut and brought his left hand up gesturing toward his left side. A near literal wall of air rushed from right to left in front of him hammering into anything and sending it flying. He opened his eyes blinking a few times to get the sun spots out. He then looked around to see what had happened to Gabriel drawing a flaming hand across his chest and keeping his falchion at the ready snickering at how easily he had been blinded.

Gabriel slid across the jagged floor until the wind subsided. He slowly rose from his stomach to one knee as the dust cleared, coughing lightly as he settled his pale eyes on his opponent once more.

"Thought I had you there..." Gabriel said as he rose to his feet finally. He held his blade behind his back and lowered himself into another fighting stance, he thrust his arm forward, and the majority of the dirt that covered him seemed to shred from his body. "So it seems you can control what elements surround you... an interesting ability." He smiled wryly.

I completely understand if you do not wish to continue this. I have put it off for far to long. No excuses. I will continue but if you wish to end it or what have you I will go by it.

--------------------------------

Kered smiled coolly. "You almost did. And if not for my... talents... you may have." He took a slow step to the side. "I can control the elements around me as you have surmised but I can do more than that." He began circling to the left. "I can change them, mold them, even make them into something new. I can purify or strain what I need out of everything around me." As an example a simple iron dagger appeared in his hand being created from all the dust that had been kicked up. He tossed it at Gabriel's feet. "Simple, Pure, Iron. Easy to do and it doesn't take long. Unlike this sword." He held it up his sword with a kind of reverence. "It is made up of some of the rarest and most durable materials in the multi-verse. All collected, shaped and added without ever heating or forging." Electricity and fire began to dance about and around him. "I can amplify from the smallest amount into something extraordinary." The elements he had been playing with suddenly vanished and the iron dagger turned to sand. "But it gets better." Kered crouched down and placed his hand just above a barren strip of land. A small plant began to grow many times faster than it should have and bloomed into a beautiful flower not seen on this planet for years. "I can assist living things. Make them grow faster, healthier, stronger. It's all about manipulating the elements." He chuckled. "That little trick took me 80 years to perfect. And I have learned much more sense."

He stopped circling and pulled his sword up by his face with his hand resting on it's blade. "Let us continue. I will show and tell you more as we go."

Gabriel was impressed. Never had he seen such amazing feats preformed...

Nonetheless he chuckled.

"You're fancy abilities may prove to burden you earlier on in this fight my friend... as for me, I've no special powers or extraordinary abilities, but I think you'll come to find me more of a challenge then you think I'll be even so..." Gabriel leveled his blade at his side. "Let's how long your abilities will continue to save you, Kered... I've got all the time in the world." he smiled.

Kered smiled. "We will see. And I always look for a challenge." He took two steps forward springing into the air. He didn't go high as much as it propelled him forward closing the distance between them rapidly. He made a close in slash keeping his sword close to his chest. As they connected his brought the dagger from his sash and stabbed forward before twisting his sword into a fent and sending it toward Gabriel's hand. His right foot came up to heel kick Gabriel in the chest carrying through dagger poised.

Gabriel brought up his blunted weapon to fend off the attack from above, swiftly realizing the dagger in front of him-- as well as Kered's blade which made it's way down his sword to his hand-- Gabriel let go of his weapon altogether and let it drop to bat away Kered's blade and dodge the knife, making it easy to evade the incoming knee. There was a problem now however, he was susceptible to attack now that he was without armament...

"Looks like I don't have a choice..." Gabriel said under his breath as he reached back for the blade he didn't plan on using. As he pulled on the hilt, out came a similar looking blade, only this one was vastly sharpened at the edge with vast and dastardly talent. Gabriel sprinted forward, driving his blade into a vertical arch with enough force to cut a swath right into the soil, sending dust and debris awry in an attempt to get Kered to move away from his position and cause enough of a haze to retrieve his other sword.

Kered saw the powerful overhead strike coming and moved with unnatural grace side-stepping the blow. It was stronger than expected and actually shook the ground under his feet. As the dust clouded the air he made his move kicking down on Gabriel's blade attempting to wedge it deeper in the earth. His blade once again came slashing down across Gabriels chest. Then reversed slashing across the stomach. He knew what Gabriel wanted to do but was going to keep close so he couldn't retrieve his other sword.

Blood frothed out of his skin as Kered's blade swiped at his chest, the force knocked him back enough to dodge a deathly slash to his gut, which would have surely had him looking at his innards if he was an inch shy of the tip of his blade. Realizing that attempting to retrieve his blade would be costly he reconciled Kered's previous inquiry on giving it everything he's got. Until now Gabriel had assured his victory would come out of a few broken bones and a clean knockout, but it seems this opponent of his was not about to let that happen.

"You're playing with more then fire now, friend. This blade has seen quite a bit of bloodshed, but doesn't hunger for it. Not as long as it is in my hands." Gabriel reversed the blade so that the blunted edge faced his target. "Puppy guarding my blade will do you no good in the long run... You'll have to move from your ground sooner or later." Gabriel charged Kered at elementary speeds closing distance within an eye glance his blade flashed forward, sweeping horizontally at an arch that soon propelled into a flurry of unmarked hacks and stabs. Whether they connected or not made little difference, each one was brutal but not mortally dangerous. Even so, the power in his strikes alone nearly stole the air away from the sky, as this blade unnaturally slid through wind and air like butter. Making it a chore to target which attack came next.

Kered brought his sword up deflecting the slash from Gabriel's blade to his right. He lifted his blade in a counter strike only to leave himself open to the rapid and unexpected assault. The blade struck in numerous places throwing blood as the edge caught and tore his skin. While none of the strikes possessed lethality by themselves the connecting force was like a jack hammer throwing his limbs around and forcing him to skid back. He somehow still stood hunched over dripping blood onto the dirt a good several feed away his hair out of it's tie. He stood strait revealing the cuts on his face, arms, and chest.

"I didn't catch that at all." He chuckled "Interesting sword there... Cursed maybe? Or something else... It cuts the air doesn't it. No wonder there weren't any changes." Kered shifted his stance. "This just got interesting."

He advanced slowly and cautiously sword front and flat. He took two steps closing the distance and leaped at Gabriel landing just short and using the full weight of his falchion's blade(it's made for slashing and heavier at the end) in a vertical arc embedding it in the ground. He then vaulted off the pommel into a flying kick aimed at Gabriel's face. If it connected or not Kered twisted into a roundhouse and landed skidding from the momentum. Just before he came to a stop by his sword Kered threw several small knives pulled from his bracers. He yanked the sword up and advanced again.

A solid boom echoed through Gabriel's mind as the sole of Kered's foot landed square in his face, he was sent rocketing backward, flying it seemed for seconds without ever touching the ground. As aching as it was, Gabriel managed to pull his head up to see the onslaught of tossed daggers flying through the air as surely as he was. He arched his back, swinging his free arm to touch the earth, and allowed the sudden halt to swing his feet forward in an attempt to regain balance on the barren earth, but the force from the impact was too much and his feet flew out from under him, causing him to ricochet of the floor, spiraling as head and torso beat themselves upon rock and stone. Finally he caught footing, and halted managing just barely enough energy to spiral the swift and dastardly blade of his to parry off all but one dagger, which buried itself steep within his left shoulder. Gabriel hollered and fell to one knee, battered and wounded from Kered's attack. He dropped his blade and reached for his opponents embedded weapon, pulling it out painstakingly, before it dropped to the ground. Gabriel sifted his knee allowing himself to fall on his rump as he placed his hand upon the wound.

"Ouch." he said simply as blood slowly leaked around his modified gauntlet. "You'll have to permit me a moment after that one." Gabriel allowed himself to fall on his back and breath for a bit, his body worn from having been skipped across nearly every orface of the arena. His nose bled profusely, having nearly been broken by the powerful kick. And his shoulder had suffered a nonlethal, but very deep and painful wound. Gabriel rose then, after a small moment of regaining stamina. And slowly rose up to stand once more. He stripped off a long piece of cloth from his tattered garbs and wrapped his shoulder diligently. Tying it off he looked at Kered with a exasperating smile. "Surely you think me a weakling, to have fallen so easily to such an attack. I had not realized that blood had poured into my eyes." Gabriel wiped his brow, feeling the gash that had come from previous strikes. Gabriel rolled his neck and arched his shoulders allowing himself to remove the pains of his body from his mind. Calling forth on untold energies to keep him upright and steady. "Ah... On the contrary, I've never felt more ready now, to show you how even a powerless man can best a sorcerer such as yourself."

Gabriel shut his eyes once more, clearing his mind of the stresses he endured, his focus sharpened, and he breathed in, and out, in and out. Not hastily nor too slow, but steady breaths, as if he was expelling the negative woes of his body, and breathing a new thread of energy into his nasal passages. Slowly he opened his eyes and brought his blade level. "This blade was forged by a bastard of a man, a blacksmith who reveled in the suffering of countless souls, given to men of greed and lust, their hatred for the world felled villages and towns, all in the name of the seven sins in this world. Our ancestors fought with these black soldiers, and in the end took it upon ourselves to take from our enemy the very thing that has reaped them rewards unknowing. This blade is more then cursed, it is a demon forged by a demon of a man, but in my hands it slumbers, never to taste the hatred of men, never to taste the crimson of the innocent life, never to lick upon the righteous and true with satisfaction. No, in my hands it is nothing but steel and fire, and though it pains me to use it, in my hands, it will never see the ocean's of blood it has drank in the countless years that have passed. It's creation contains no merit, other then to cause death, it is not a blade of honor, and so, it is my duty to show that in the right hands... it can be." Gabriel sighed one last breath before he spoke again, "But enough talk of ancient lore," he smirked then, "It is high time I returned an attack of equal merit... Prepare yourself, Kered Rekcur!"

Gabriel dispersed, nearly disappearing from his position as he covered unimaginable amounts of ground, reaching his opponent in nigh but seconds. A ferocious foot swept long and hard to mark a home upon the side of Kered's features, sweeping past and down as he spun, his blade spiraling outward as he turned to face his opponent once more, he tangled blades with his opponent shifting arms in between movements, his blade dancing from limb to limb, left hand... right hand... no hand! His blade left him completely, as he allowed it to pry into the ground, leaving it behind as he dodged and swung with fists of hellbent fury, kicks and knees of unrelenting prowess. Gabriel's gauntlets caught and batted away Kered's sword, looking as if he were catching it effortlessly with the palms of his hand and where he could not parry, his body would sway to evade miraculous counters Kered would ensue in retaliation. Gabriel was practically sending uncanny incantations of physical rock hard strength towards Kered, for a man of no special powers, his stamina and strength were at extraordinary levels.

Gabriel pushed his weight forward, thrusting his arms together and forward to barrel into kered's chest, he stumbled back then, his breathing unsteady, his face sour patched as sweat and blood stung his eyes. He leaned on his side grasping the hilt of the blade he first withdrew, the blunted edge of the blade that had defeated it's alter; the uncanny infernal blade that stood now meters behind.

Gabriel surveyed the damage he had done, then winced in pain as he over-looked himself, he did not realize it, but he had sufferend multiple aberrations, cuts, and bruises. He took another breath, steady, but harsh... and then in one quick hefty movement, lurched the blade out of it's mount in the earth. As deep as Kered may have pushed it into the ground.

"I told you I'd get my blade back. As for the latter, I think it could drink a bit of dust for a bit." he said tiresomely, his breath fast, but slowing steadily.
